— A better way to build your small business website

Your website — built before we ever meet.

Most web designers ask you to describe what you want, then come back months later with something close, and a large invoice. I do it the other way around: I study your business first, build a real, live site, and show up with it already finished. You see the whole thing, then decide.

How it works

Most of the work is done before you know my name.

By the time we have our first conversation, I've already studied your business, designed your site, and coded a working version of it. Your job is simple: tell me what you love, what to change, and when to go live.

01

I find you

Through referrals, local research, or just walking past your storefront. If I think I can make your business shine online, you're on my list.

Before day 1
02

I build your site

Using everything publicly available — your Google profile, your social accounts, your photos, your reviews — I design and code a real, working website made specifically for you. No templates. No stock placeholders where it matters.

Before we meet
03

I show you what I made

We sit down — over coffee, or at your business — and I walk you through your new website. Live. On a real domain. Built for your customers. No pitch deck. No mockups. The actual thing.

Day 1 together
04

You say yes, and it's yours

If you love it, we make it official. Tweak anything you want — swap photos, update copy, add pages. Then we launch. You own the code. You can keep me around for updates, or take it and run.

Why I work this way

Because the hardest part of getting a website is getting started.

Every small business owner I've met has a website story. They talked to someone. They got a quote. They stalled. Life got busy. Five years later, the site still looks the same — or doesn't exist at all.

I figured out a way to skip all of that. You don't have to imagine what your site could look like, write a brief, or commit to something that doesn't exist yet. You look at the finished site, on a real screen, and decide if it's right for you.

It turns out, almost every time, the answer is yes.

Keeping it fresh

Need a change? Just ask.

New menu. New photo. New hours. A typo you just spotted. Whatever it is, you shouldn't have to file a ticket, wait a week, or open your wallet again.

Message me the change

Text, email, voice memo — whatever's easiest. No briefs, no forms, no jargon. Just tell me what you want different.

It gets done fast

Most updates happen the same day. The site refreshes, the change is live, and you get a quick note that it's done.

No surprise invoices

Small edits are always free. Bigger changes — new pages, new features — we'll talk about up front. No meter running.

Soon, you'll be able to make changes yourself just by asking — no messaging me required. More on that when it's ready.

My goal is simple — your site should feel like the best version of your business, finished before you ever had to stress about it."

About

I'm Nick Nead. I make websites for small businesses.

I'm a high-school senior in Kirtland, Ohio, and I grew up around branding, design, and marketing. I've been around good creative work my whole life, which means I notice when something isn't quite right.

What I kept noticing was this: small businesses I loved — the kind that make a neighborhood feel like a neighborhood — had websites that didn't do them justice. Sites on outdated templates. Pages that hadn't been touched in years. Or no site at all. Almost never because they didn't care. Always because the process of getting a website built is exhausting, expensive, and slow.

Around the same time, I started paying attention to what AI and modern web tools had quietly become capable of. I realized the old way of building a website — endless briefs, mockups, revisions, surprise costs — wasn't the only way anymore. So I created BUILT around a different idea: do the hard work up front, show up with a finished site, and let the business decide if it's right for them.

Every site is designed for your business, built with the best tools available, and yours to keep.

Thanks for stopping by.
